Jana Sena Party (JSP) president Pawan Kalyan faces a delicate balancing act, particularly concerning ticket distribution in Anakapalle. Pawan’s brother, Konidela Nagababu, has set his sights on the Anakapalle Parliamentary seat, which is also being eyed by former Minister and two-time Congress MP Konathala Ramakrishna. Ramakrishna officially joined JSP, taking party membership on January 25, 2024. Nagababu, who contested the Narasapuram Parliamentary seat in 2019 but lost to YSRCP Rebel MP Raghu Rama Krishna Raju, is now eyeing the Anakapalle seat, considering Raju’s potential candidacy from either TDP or BJP, and the substantial presence of the Kapu community there.
However, Konathala Ramakrishna is also vying for the same seat. Amidst speculations that he might align with YS Sharmila’s Congress faction, Ramakrishna clarified that his recent meeting with Sharmila was personal, emphasizing their family relations, and her invitation was solely for his son’s wedding. Dispelling further rumors, Ramakrishna put an end to the speculation by formally joining Jana Sena. Reports suggest that Jana Sena is now seeking electoral footholds in Anakapalle, Guntur, Machilipatnam, and Kakinada, buoyed by internal assessments indicating favorable electoral prospects in these areas.
