The recent blockbuster in South India, Jailer is still going strong after two weeks of its release. The fresh numbers at the ticket window denote the magnanimous star power of Rajini Kanth as he is pulling audiences despite other releases.
The Jailer movie gave a much-needed hit for Superstar Rajini Kanth as he suffered a series of flops in recent times. Fans went berserk experiencing the elevations for the Thalaivar and they made the movie a blockbuster within no time. Released on the 10th of August, the movie crossed the lifetime collections and entered into the prestigious 500 crores club at the end of its second weekend. By this Friday, Jailer completed two complete weeks of its release and the movie grossed a total of 525 crores and stood only next to Robo 2.0 in Rajini’s career. The movie was unstoppable even though there were many releases in Tamil and Telugu throughout these two weeks and it really boggled the trade experts.
Directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, Jailer is produced by Sun Pictures, and the music is scored by the rock star Anirudh Ravichander. The movie has Shivarajkumar and Mohanlal in extended cameos and actors like Ramya Krishna and others in crucial roles.
