Jailer vs Bholaa Shankar: Rajinikanth ahead of Chiru in pre-sales

Next week, the two biggest superstars of South India are going to vie at the box office with their upcoming films. Superstar Rajinikanth’s Jailer and Megastar Chiranjeevi’s Bholaa Shankar are releasing on two consecutive days – August 10th and 11th. Both these films are billed as mass entertainers.

In terms of pre-sales, Jailer is well ahead of Bholaa Shankar in USA. While Jailer already surpassed the $ 300K from 170 locations, Bholaa Shankar is struggling to touch $ 100K from 160 locations. Both Rajinikanth and Chiranjeevi command solid following overseas. Their films usually take a thunderous opening in USA and other locations. As of now, it is Rajinikanth who is leading the box office race.

The theatrical trailer of Jailer that presented Rajinikanth in his vintage style and swag boosted the hype of the film very strongly. Meanwhile, Bholaa Shankar is unable to create much buzz due to the underwhelming content in teasers and trailers.
It would be interesting to see who will emerge as the winner in this box office tussle because, after a long time, both these superstars are testing their luck in the same week.

Directed by Nelson Dilip Kumar, Jailer has a special song by Tamannaah. Bholaa Shankar has Tamannaah as the leading lady. Meher Ramesh is the director.
