Janhvi Kapoor needs a big boost with Devara

Bollywood diva Janhvi Kapoor is quite popular across the country not because she portrayed versatile roles or scored many blockbusters but only because she is the daughter of yesteryear actress Sridevi Kapoor who ruled the roost in the 90s with her alluring performances in Telugu and Hindi. Janhvi did manage to hog the limelight even before she made her debut on the silver screen with her eye-catching appearance. Many of her glamorous pictures often go viral on social media platforms.

It is, however, an undeniable fact that Janhvi is yet to make a noticeable impact and prove her mettle as an actor. Though she appeared as the leading lady in a handful of Bollywood films, the Dhadak star couldn’t get much recognition because most of her roles didn’t have much substance in the narrative. Also, there is nothing great to write home about her acting skills in these films. Besides Dadak, none of her films scored commercial success.

Now, Janhvi is desperately looking for a big boost to her low-lying career. She signed her first pan-India film with NTR. Titled Devara, the film is slated for release in April next year. Having shot a few portions in Hyderabad a couple of months back, Janhvi is now waiting eagerly to join the sets again. She wants to get a big break with Devara.

If this film emerges as a big hit, it would definitely give the much-needed impetus to her career. Moreover, she will bag more big-ticket roles in the South after Devara. So, it is going to be a career-altering film for Janhvi.
