In a significant political turn of events, YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) leader and ex-Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy met former MLA Vallabhaneni Vamsi Mohan at Vijayawada Sub-Jail. Vamsi, who is under judicial remand in connection with a kidnapping case, was assured by Jagan that the party is with him.. Accompanying Jagan were Vamsi’s wife, Pankaja Sri, and former Avanigadda MLA Simhadri Ramesh.
Speaking to the media after the visit, Jagan came down heavily on the Telugu Desam Party (TDP)-led government, accusing some police officials of being “puppets” of the government. He cautioned, “Police officers should respect their uniform, not bow down to political pressure.”.. When we return to power, every official and leader who wronged our people will be held accountable—whether they are retired or have left the country, they will face consequences.”
Jagan also criticized the circumstances surrounding Vamsi’s arrest, calling it politically motivated. He pointed out that Satyavardhan, the complainant in the Gannavaram TDP office attack case, had withdrawn his complaint, yet the police continued to pursue charges. He blamed TDP leader Pattabhi for provoking the incident and noted that Vamsi was not initially named in the FIR but was later added as the 71st accused. Jagan further alleged that Satyavardhan was forced to sign a blank document to frame Vamsi.
In the face of increasing controversy, YSRCP went on Twitter to post that it would make important revelations regarding the Gannavaram case at 7 PM, suggesting a huge revelation that could rock the political scene.
