The acclaimed director Karthik Subbaraj has teamed up with the Kollywood star actor Suriya for an action love drama, Retro.
This film hit the screens worldwide amidst huge hype and expectations, but failed to garner the hit as expected by the fans. In an interview, Karthik Subbaraj expressed his displeasure over certain reviews. He mentioned that he is not against reviewing the film, but totally against someone with a specific agenda. The same thing has happened when it comes to Retro, he added.
Retro has been performing decently in the home state, Tamil Nadu, despite getting mixed reviews from all over. Retro’s Telugu version has been a disappointing venture, and once again, Suriya has failed to make it big at the box office. Pooja Hegde is the leading lady for this film, and Suriya has produced this film.
