The most prestigious project of maverick director Shankar and Universal Star Kamal Haasan, Indian-2 is silently progressing at a brisk pace. The latest update regarding the movie’s shoot reveals the movie’s closing date.
Touted to be the sequel of the nation’s most celebrated movie ‘Indian’ aka ‘Bharateeyudu’ in Telugu, Indian-2 had faced many hurdles during its production. Also, Shankar had to deal with Ram Charan’s ‘Game Changer’ in parallel to Indian-2’s production so adjusting dates and schedules was challenging. However, the fresh update clears the air as the movie’s regular shoot is inching close to the wrap-up date. The movie will complete its full production by the end of June and the entire team will head to post-production works. To save time, the producers already began dubbing the works of some actors like Siddharth and others. As of now, the shooting is underway with Kamal Haasan and crucial actors in specially erected sets.
Directed by Shankar, Indian-2 is produced on a huge budget by Subhaskaran under the banner ‘Lyca Productions’ alongside Udhayanidhi Stalin. Rakul Preet Singh is the female lead and SJ Surya is fighting Kamal Haasan as the main antagonist. AR Rahman is scoring the music and background for this commercial potboiler which will be out in the early months of 2024 across all major Indian languages.
