Hyderabad: The recently-elected Congress government in Hyderabad has implemented significant administrative changes. Amrapali Kata, an IAS officer, has been appointed Joint Commissioner of the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) and also takes on the role of Managing Director of Musi River Development Corporation Ltd (MRDCL). Concurrently, B Gopi assumes the position of Director of the Agriculture Department, succeeding M Raghunandan Rao. Syed Ali Murtaza Rizvi, formerly Secretary to the Department of Health, Medical, and Family Welfare, is now Secretary of the Government Energy Department, with an additional charge as Chairman and Managing Director of TRANSCO & GENCO.
Sandeep Kumar Jha, the former Joint Secretary of the IT, Electronics, and Communication department, is appointed Joint Managing Director of TRANSCO. D Krishna Bhaskar takes on the role of Officer on Special Duty to Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu, and Musharraf Ali Faruqui assumes the position of Chairman and Managing Director of TSSPDCL.
