The AP High Court has expressed its anger over the company of Vijayasai Reddy’s daughter Neha Reddy, a business partner, for constructing a wall at Bhimili Beach in violation of CRZ regulations. It has directed the concerned officer to file a police complaint to take criminal action against the company.
The court has expressed its anger over the removal of only the visible wall and leaving a strong foundation of 588 meters long and six feet deep under the sand. The High Court has once again heard a petition filed by Jana Sena Corporator Murthy Yadav seeking action against illegal constructions at Bhimili Beach.
During the hearing, Murthy Yadav told the court that the foundations of the wall was under the sand and explained that this matter had not been mentioned in the report of the committee appointed earlier. The court was angry that the existence of foundations there was not included in the report.
It has ordered a committee to be formed with officials of the Union Environment Ministry to study the damage caused by the construction of the wall. It has also been ordered to recover from Nehra Reddy’s company the cost of demolishing the wall and the damage caused to the environment due to the construction.
On the other hand, the court, which heard a petition filed alleging that restobars are being run illegally near Bheemili, ordered the committee to conduct a comprehensive survey and submit a report. The next hearing was adjourned for three weeks.
Avyan Realtors, a partnership of Vijayasai Reddy’s son-in-law Rohit Reddy and daughter Neha Reddy, had purchased valuable land on the Bhimili- Bhogapuram Beach Road some time ago. Initially, some people bought the land in the name of benami and later transferred it to the name of Avyan Realtors.
They acquired land in the name of Avyan in Bheemunipatnam. They occupied some land and made illegal constructions. Illegal constructions were exposed in the CRZ (Coastal Regulation Zone) area. It is known that sand dunes were destroyed in the presence of rowdy mobs, covered with gravel and built with concrete.
