High tensions prevailed in Vijayawada after the police denied permission for ‘Chalo CMO’ given by UTF on Monday demanding CPS cancellation. According to the sources, the police kept several teachers under house arrest across the state and deployed heavy forces at CMO in Tadepalli. Intense searches are also conducted on all vehicles on all roads leading to Vijayawada.
