A blog post by former actress Heera, written earlier this year, has unexpectedly gone viral, sparking controversy in Kollywood circles. The post, widely interpreted as referring to Tamil superstar Ajith Kumar, contains allegations of emotional manipulation and character defamation, though no names were explicitly mentioned.
In the post, Heera recounts her past relationship with an unnamed Tamil actor, claiming she supported him during a serious spinal ailment and stood by him during his formative years. She alleges that the actor later distanced himself by falsely branding her a drug addict. The actress also claims he eventually married a fellow actress, and in a controversial mediation remark, stated he was marrying someone “like a maid” who “would not object to any future affairs.”
Although Heera did not identify the individual, fans and observers have connected the post’s narrative to Ajith Kumar, citing parallels with his known history. Heera and Ajith co-starred in the 1996 hit film Kadhal Kottai (Prema Lekha in Telugu), which was followed by rumours of a personal relationship. Ajith later married actress Shalini in 2000 after they worked together on Amarkalam.
The blog post went largely unnoticed when first published in January. However, its sudden resurgence coincides with the central government’s announcement of the Padma Bhushan award for Ajith, leading many of the actor’s fans to suspect an orchestrated campaign to malign his reputation. Some have alleged that rival fan groups, particularly those supporting actor Vijay, may be amplifying the post to provoke controversy.
Neither Ajith Kumar nor Heera has issued an official statement on the matter. The situation continues to evolve amid growing reactions from fans and industry observers alike.
