Macherla MLA Pinnelli Ramakrishna Reddy, the primary accused in the EVM destruction case on polling day, has filed a petition in the AP High Court seeking anticipatory bail. He had already been relieved in this matter.
However, Pinnelli also filed an application for anticipatory bail in a separate case registered against him for allegedly attempting to murder a TDP agent who intervened while he was trying to destroy the EVM. The arguments for both parties have concluded in the High Court, and the bench has reserved the verdict for tomorrow.
Recently, the AP High Court granted Pinnelli anticipatory bail in the EVM destruction case, instructing the police not to take action against him until June 6. The court also imposed several conditions, requiring Pinnelli to stay in Narasaraopet until June 6 and prohibiting him from going to Macherla on the day of counting.
