Dashing filmmaker Harish Shankar faced the ire of Pawan Kalyan’s fans when it was announced that he will be remaking Tamil blockbuster Theri in the form of Ustaad Bhagat Singh. Many felt that it was a wrong choice from Pawan to opt for a remake that has already been dubbed into Telugu. Fans tagged Harish Shankar on social media and trolled him not to handle a remake again. However, the Gabbar Singh director didn’t lose his cool and remained tight-lipped about the backlash he received ever since the project started rolling.
Hitting out at all the trolls and clearing the inhibitions, Harish Shankar showcased Pawan Kalyan in his vintage style with full of vigor and enthusiasm in the glimpse of Ustaad Bhagat Singh that was unveiled a couple of days back. The brief glimpse created a solid impact as it garnered close to 20 million views on YouTube in less than two days. Pawan’s iconic get-up and trademark mannerisms in the glimpse sent fans into a tizzy. It is clear that the Powerstar will be back to his energetic best in Khaki avatar displaying his trademark shenanigans and devil-may-care attitude.
Reportedly, Harish Shankar gave a new spin to the lead character by taking just the basic essence from Theri story. Ustaad Bhagat Singh will be completely fresh with more mass quotient than the original. Harish Shankar is taking due care with respect to the dialogues and there will be many political references as well in the film.
Harish Shankar is confident to deliver another blockbuster after Gabbar Singh with Ustaad Bhagat Singh. He just showcased what he is capable of doing with the teaser.
