Hyderabad: BRS MLA Harish Rao expressed dissatisfaction with the Governor’s speech, stating that it lacked clarity on the government’s promises and assurances. Addressing the media on Thursday, he criticized the government’s failure to inspire confidence among the people. Harish Rao highlighted Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s limited engagement with Prajavani, a platform meant for receiving public representations, noting a decline in its regular functioning. He contrasted this with the previous regime’s practice of collectors personally accepting applications.
Regarding the Congress government’s claims of fulfilling two guarantees, Harish Rao remarked that they were only partially implemented. He pointed out the absence of mention of critical issues like Aarogyasri and questioned the delay in fulfilling promises, particularly with the impending election code of conduct. He emphasized the public’s scrutiny of the government’s actions.
He highlighted the omission of important welfare schemes such as the Mahalaxmi scheme for women and bonuses for farmers in the Governor’s speech. Additionally, Harish Rao criticized the lack of focus on village and town development and questioned the absence of discussion on providing Rs 4,000 to the unemployed. He lamented the government’s failure to address manifesto commitments, concluding that the Congress administration had tarnished the Assembly and Governor’s image.
