Sankranti outing Hanuman is creating a good buzz on the opening day itself. Despite being released in very few theaters, the movie is bagging positive reviews all over and is scoring decent at the ticket window.
Touted to be an action thriller based on the Hindu mythology of Lord Hanuman, this VFX-studded flick got its paid premiers yesterday and all the shows were full. The phenomenon extended overseas as the movie which premiered in the early hours of the 12th has collected a total sum of 400K dollars just from North America. This is a thunderous response considering the movie without the tier-1 stars. Not stopping there, the trade experts predict that day one will be as huge as premiers surrounding the buzz. If the movie gets a positive review at the end of its release day in the Telugu states, then the sky is the only limit for Hanuman despite the competition from Mahesh Babu’s Guntur Karam.
Written and directed by Prashanth Varma, Hanuman is produced by Srinivas Chitturi with a decent budget. Teja Sajja and Amrita Ayyer are the main leads whereas Vinay Rai is the baddie. The film also stars Varalakshsmi Sarathkumar, Getup Seenu, Satya, and others in crucial roles.
