Gopichand32 : Vaitla’s rendezvous with Italy continues

Director Sreenu Vaitla, who is known for creating a brand for himself in the comedy genre with numerous entertaining flicks, is back in the news after a brief hiatus. He joined forces with Gopichand for a commercial potboiler which is being made on a hefty budget with rich production values. Tentatively titled Gopichand32, the formal launch of this project was held a few back in Hyderabad.

Not wasting much time, Sreenu Vaitla and Gopichand started working on this film in the ancient city of Matera in Italy. On the eve of the director’s birthday, the makers of this untitled film unveiled a video snippet today to give a sneak peek into the recce work of the team before commencing the shooting formalities. Previously, Vaitla shot NTR’s Baadshah and Ram Charan’s Bruce Lee in the same country.

The brief glimpse has Sreenu Vaitla and his team exploring the rocky landscapes of Matera to zero in on appropriate locations to shoot key episodes in the first schedule. It looks like the Dookudu director is very confident about making a strong comeback with this film. He seems to have readied a fascinating script with his trademark entertainment. Hence, the production house is ready to shell out a solid budget for its making.

Gopichand32 will be shot in various exotic locales of Europe. The remaining cast and crew are yet to be finalized. Chitralayam Studios is the production house behind this project.
