Rajya Sabha member Y.V. Subba Reddy and Minister Gudivada Amarnath inaugurated a 100-meter-long, three-meter-wide floating bridge on Sunday. Starting Monday, visitors can access the bridge for a nominal fee of Rs 100 for adults and Rs 70 for children. Offering a unique opportunity to explore the sea and enjoy panoramic coastal views, the bridge aims to boost tourism in Visakhapatnam. Subba Reddy highlighted the state government’s commitment to promoting tourism and creating employment opportunities for youth, leveraging the city’s strategic location and natural beauty.
Minister Amarnath echoed these sentiments, emphasizing efforts to attract both domestic and international tourists. Notably, Rushikonda Beach recently earned certification as a Blue Flag Beach, reflecting international standards. District Collector A. Mallikarjuna assured tourists of safety measures, including trained personnel on the bridge and visitor regulations. Access to the bridge will be limited to specific operating hours for public safety.
