While some organizations forecast a victory for the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), others predict that the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) will retain power. Aaraa Poll Strategies Private Limited projects that the Jagan Mohan Reddy-led YSRCP will secure 94-104 seats in the 175-member Assembly, while the TDP-Jana Sena-BJP alliance is expected to win 71-81 seats. Aaraa’s founder and chairman, Shaik Mastan, stated that YSRCP is likely to achieve a vote share of 49.41 percent, compared to 47.55 percent for the TDP-led alliance. Aaraa, which accurately predicted the recent Telangana Assembly election results, believes that YSRCP has garnered more support from women voters than men. The agency also forecasts that YSRCP will win 13-15 of the 25 Lok Sabha seats, with the TDP-led alliance taking 10-12.
Atma Sakshi SAS also anticipates a YSRCP victory, projecting 98-116 seats for YSRCP and 59-77 seats for the NDA. In contrast, Smart Poll predicts a close race, with the NDA winning 93 seats and YSRCP securing 80. People’s Pulse, however, expects the TDP-led alliance to dominate the Assembly polls, projecting 95-110 seats for TDP, 14-20 for Jana Sena, and 2-5 for BJP, giving YSRCP 45-60 seats with a 44 percent vote share. The NDA alliance is expected to secure 52 percent of the votes and win 17-21 Lok Sabha seats, leaving YSRCP with 3-5.
The Centre for Politics and Policy Studies projects 95-105 Assembly seats for YSRCP and 75-85 seats for the NDA. The state Assembly and Lok Sabha elections, held simultaneously on May 13, saw a high voter turnout of 82.73 percent. A total of 2,387 candidates contested the Assembly elections, with key figures including Chief Minister Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy (Pulivendula), TDP president N. Chandrababu Naidu (Kuppam), and Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan (Pithapuram).
In the 2019 elections, YSRCP achieved a landslide victory, winning 151 of the 175 Assembly seats with a 49.95 percent vote share, while TDP secured 23 seats with 39.17 percent of the votes. Jana Sena won the remaining seat. In the Lok Sabha, YSRCP won 22 seats, and TDP took the remaining three, with BJP and Congress failing to win any seats in both Assembly and Lok Sabha polls.
