Following the massive success of RRR, director SS Rajamouli returns with another much awaited project, this time with superstar Mahesh Babu. The film (which will be Mahesh Babu’s 29th) has created a lot of noise, but that is unsurprising given that it is also the first collaboration between the director and actor.
Usually, Rajamouli prefers to go all big-ticket for his movies, announcing them with great fanfare and holding press conferences to announce details and build up hype. But with this one, starring Mahesh Babu, things have been different. The film began quietly, with no big press announcements or promotional activities. The pooja ceremony was done low-key, and the shoot has been underway at a fast pace, without the drama. The crew has already finished numerous shooting schedules, and production is progressing at a surprising rate when compared to Rajamouli’s usual pace.
While Rajamouli’s movies typically take time to complete and are grand in size and scale, SSMB29 appears to be breaking that trend. Most recently, the shoot was done in Kenya, where the crew filmed some high-octane action sequences and adrenaline-charged chase scenes.
After shooting the Kenya schedule, the team returned to India and is currently filming a new schedule at Hyderabad’s Ramoji Film City. According to sources, the makers have constructed a humongous set of the holy city of Kasi for this section. The entire leading cast is present in this schedule, and it will go on continuously till 1st October.
Rajamouli is going full steam on the project with no signs of delay. Not only are fans thrilled with the quick progress, but also eager to see the release date of the teaser of the film, which the makers announced would be out in November. The quick momentum and promising news keep the anticipation going on, making SSMB29 one of the most anticipated films in the industry.
