Siddipet: The Sankranthi festival is underway, marked by the soaring of kites in various regions. The Parade Ground in Hyderabad is also witnessing a vibrant display of kite-flying, drawing a large crowd. Recently, the kite festival kicked off at Komati tank in the district headquarters of Siddipet, with former minister and MLA Harish Rao inaugurating the event. During the ceremony, Harish Rao extended his warm wishes to the people of the state on the occasion of Sankranti.
Highlighting the significance of the festival, Harish Rao mentioned that the kite festival symbolizes happiness, joy, and health brought by sunlight. He emphasized that the thread serves as the foundation for kites, much like parents are the foundation for their children. In Siddipet, the kite festival is celebrated as a visual feast for three days. Harish Rao asserted that Makar Sankranti marks the official end of winter.
