Hyderabad: Amidst rumors of his potential defection to the Congress, former Telangana BJP leader and minister Eatala Rajender addressed the speculation on Saturday. Rajender refuted claims of meeting with former BRS minister Patnam Mahender Reddy and Congress leader Mynampally Hanumanth Rao. Speculation arose after a photo circulated on social media showing Rajender with Congress leaders, sparking discussion about his departure from the BJP.
In the recent Telangana Assembly elections, Eatala Rajender contested the Huzurabad segment but was defeated by BRS candidate P Kaushik Reddy. In response, Mansoorabad corporator Narsimha Reddy clarified that the photo was taken at a housewarming ceremony and was merely a social gathering with no political discussions. He also dismissed rumors of Rajender’s resignation from the BJP.
