The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has taken strict action against former YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) MP MVV Satyanarayana by seizing properties linked to him in connection with the Hayagriva Properties real estate fraud. This development comes after the agency recently conducted extensive searches at his residence and other locations associated with the case. The ED has now officially confirmed the attachment of these assets.
Land Scam Rooted in Past Allotment
The origins of this land dispute trace back to the tenure of Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy when a piece of land was allotted to Chilukuru Jagadishwarudu for setting up welfare initiatives for senior citizens. However, no such welfare activities were ever implemented. During the YSRCP government’s tenure, MVV Satyanarayana allegedly took control of this land and started constructing high-end villas.
Forced Signatures and Allegations of Threats
Jagadishwarudu later filed a complaint, claiming that he was intimidated and coerced into signing blank documents while YSRCP was in power. Fearful of repercussions, he remained silent at the time. However, after the government changed, he gathered the courage to reopen his complaint, which led to the ED stepping in to investigate. Their probe exposed large-scale money laundering, resulting in the attachment of multiple properties linked to MVV’s businesses, as well as assets connected to Jagadishwarudu and his family.
Growing Concerns Over Land Deals in Visakhapatnam
Insiders reveal that this case is just the tip of the iceberg, with several other dubious land transactions allegedly taking place in Visakhapatnam during YSRCP’s rule. The case took an even more dramatic turn when reports surfaced that a known rowdy sheeter, reportedly linked to the land mafia, had kidnapped members of MVV’s family over an internal dispute.
As the ED intensifies its probe, more explosive revelations are anticipated in this high-profile case, further shaking up the political and real estate landscape in Andhra Pradesh.
