Disappointing News For Jr. NTR Fans: No ‘Devara’ Success Meet

Thursday, October 3, 2024

Jr. NTR’s highly anticipated film ‘Devara: Part 1’ helmed by Koratala Siva hit theaters worldwide on September 27. In its opening week, the film garnered tremendous success, collecting an impressive Rs. 396 crores in just six days.

Devara generated huge excitement even before its release, as the film marks Jr. NTR’s first solo project in six years since ‘Aravinda Sametha’. While fans were eager to celebrate the film, the pre-release event got cancelled at the last moment due to overcrowding and security concerns. Hopes were then set on a grand success meet, but fans were left disappointed again as it, too, was called off.

Producer Naga Vamsi, who distributed the film in Telugu states, has revealed this disappointing news to Jr. NTR fans through his social media platform X. He expressed his gratitude to fans but apologized for the event cancellation. The statement reads, “A big thank you to each and everyone of you who played a part in creating the #DevaraStorm and setting unprecedented records at the BOX OFFICE. Since the pre-release event couldn’t be held, Tarak anna was adamant about having an event to CELEBRATE the Success of Devara in a BIG WAY with HIS FANS from across the Telugu states.”

Explaining the challenges in organizing the grand event, he wrote, “Despite our relentless efforts, due to Dasara and Devi Navaratri festivities, we were unable to get permissions for outdoor venues in both Telugu states for our massive Success Celebrations!!! This situation is beyond our control, and we sincerely apologize to all the fans and our audience for not being able to conduct this event. Nevertheless we are still trying. We hope you understand and continue to be the force that takes #BlockbusterDevara & Tarak Anna to new heights.”
