Director Praveen Kandregula, known for his earlier works Cinema Bandi and Shubham, is ready to unveil his third film, Parada, set for release on August 22. During a press conference in Hyderabad, Praveen revealed that the film will offer audiences a fresh experience, exploring a new cultural narrative. Starring Anupama Parameswaran in the lead role, Parada tackles themes of societal norms, self-reflection, and cultural differences, set against the backdrop of the 1980s.
The film’s plot revolves around a fictional village called ‘Padi’, where characters struggle with unseen barriers and societal expectations. Praveen explained that although the story is entirely fictional, it draws inspiration from real-life incidents and explores universal themes that will resonate with audiences. While the film primarily focuses on women, Praveen emphasized that its message is meant for everyone, highlighting issues that go beyond gender.
Praveen also praised Anupama Parameswaran’s performance, noting that the actress, known for her roles in commercial films, delivers a deeply emotional performance that will surprise audiences. With music composed by Gopi Sundar and cinematography by Mridul Sujith Sen, Parada promises to be a visually compelling and musically rich experience. The film also features strong performances from Rajendra Prasad, Darshan Rajendra, and Rag Mayur. Praveen expressed his aspirations for larger commercial projects in the future, believing that Parada will lay the foundation for such opportunities.
