In Tollywood, when a movie becomes a blockbuster, efforts are often made to create a sequel. One such film, Dhee, was an out-and-out comedy entertainer that achieved huge success at the box office. Manchu Vishnu and Genelia played the lead pair in this film. The way director Sreenu Vaitla crafted the movie left the audience thoroughly impressed.
However, discussions about the sequel to this film have been ongoing in the industry for quite some time. Manchu Vishnu has mentioned several times that he would do the sequel if Sreenu Vaitla agrees. However, he doesn’t seem to be showing much interest in the sequel at this point. Manchu Vishnu appears to be taking this sequel lightly. Nonetheless, he is definitely saying that he will collaborate with Sreenu Vaitla on another film.
Now, Sreenu Vaitla has also clarified this matter. He mentioned in a recent interview that it would be difficult to replace stars like Srihari and Jayaprakash Reddy, who acted in Dhee. As a result, everyone seems to be concluding that a sequel to such a hit movie is unlikely to happen.
