The sequel to the blockbuster socio-fantasy film Bimbisara, starring Nandamuri Kalyan Ram, is officially in the works. However, the upcoming film will see a change in direction, with Anil Paduri replacing Vashishta, who helmed the original.
Confirming the development, director Vashishta stated that Anil Paduri will take charge of Bimbisara 2. “Anil came up with a stronger concept for the sequel. Both Kalyan Ram and I felt he was the right choice to take the story forward,” he said.
Bimbisara, released in 2022, emerged as a major success for Kalyan Ram and showcased a unique blend of fantasy and action. The sequel, now one of the most anticipated projects in Tollywood, is expected to go on floors soon.
