Film Development Corporation (FDC) Chairman Dil Raju has expressed disappointment over the comments made by former minister K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) regarding the recent meeting between Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and representatives from the Telugu film industry. In a tweet, Dil Raju clarified that the meeting was a formal and transparent discussion, not a casual affair, and that the film industry was highly satisfied with the proceedings.
“The meeting was conducted in a cordial and friendly manner, with no hidden agendas, and was attended by all relevant stakeholders. The Chief Minister acknowledged the film industry’s role in the development of Telangana and requested our support for the state’s progress and social welfare,” Dil Raju stated.
He further emphasized the film industry’s strong support for the Chief Minister’s vision to transform Hyderabad into a global entertainment hub and appealed to keep the industry out of political disputes. “The film industry, which provides livelihoods to millions, deserves the cooperation of all governments and the support of the people,” he added.
KTR had earlier criticized the meeting, suggesting that Revanth Reddy’s comments about the film industry were a diversionary tactic aimed at deflecting attention from public issues. KTR accused the Chief Minister of making such statements after settling matters with the film industry. Dil Raju responded to these remarks, reiterating the film industry’s commitment to the state’s growth and its desire to remain free from unnecessary political controversies.
