Dil Raju eyes 2025 Sankranti with ‘Shatamanam Bhavathi 2’

Ace producer Dil Raju seems to have made it a habit to release one film for Sankranti every year at any cost. Either as a producer or as a distributor, he has been associating with at least one film that releases during the festival season. From Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu to the latest Guntur Kaaram, Dil Raju tested his luck at the box office almost every Sankranti in the last 9 years.

For Sankranti 2025, Dil Raju has already booked a slot. This time he is going to come up with a clean-slate family entertainer in the form of a sequel to his 2017 blockbuster Shatamanam Bhavathi which starred Sharwanand and Anupama Parameshwaran.

As per the latest reports, Shatamanam Bhavathi 2 will start rolling very soon and it will hit the screens next year for the Sankranti festival. The announcement was made this morning on the eve of Sankranti with a poster saying the ‘Next Page’ is loading soon. But there is no clarity on who will star in this film.

Shatamanam Bhavathi is a feel-good family film with heart-wrenching emotions and drama. The film released for Sankranti in 2017 and went on to emerge as box office hit despite facing heavy competition from Khaidi No 150 and Gautamiputra Satakarni.

Directed by Satish Vegesna, the film was conferred with National Award in ‘Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment’ category.

It would be interesting to see if Dil Raju retains the same cast and crew or not for the sequel.
