At a recent promotional event, the acclaimed producer Dil Raju shed light on the unique choice of title for his upcoming film, “Family Star.” Clarifying the intentions behind the title, Raju expressed that the film is not an attempt to showcase the lead actor, Vijay Deverakonda, as a conventional star. Instead, he unveiled a more profound rationale, stating, “The title ‘Family Star’ was misconceived by some as an attempt to present Vijay as the film’s star. However, I’ve kept the real reason under wraps until now. The truth is, in our lives, many of us strive tirelessly to elevate our family’s standing and ensure their well-being. It is this unsung dedication we aim to celebrate. In essence, each one of these individuals is a ‘Family Star.'”
Raju further emphasized that “Family Star” is imbued with the essence of his production house’s signature approach to storytelling, which has always revolved around family-centric narratives. Reiterating his point, Raju stated, “This film is not about showcasing Vijay Deverakonda as a star in the traditional sense.”
The film features a cameo by Rashmika and an important role played by Divyansha Kaushik, enhancing its appeal. With its premiere set for April 5, 2024, “Family Star” promises to be a celebration of the everyday heroes who play pivotal roles in their families, offering audiences a chance to reflect on the true meaning of being a star within the family dynamic.
