Dhanush’s landmark 50th film ‘Raayan’ is both written and directed by the actor himself, marking his second venture as a director. The film is scheduled for its theatrical release on June 13.
With the film’s release date just days away, Dhanush dropped a photo on his Instagram handle to share an update on the film. The photo features musical maestro AR Rahman sitting at a computer in his studio. On the screen, there is an image from the film in which Dhanush has an intense look while Rahman is working to bring together and sync the soundtrack with the visuals.
Along with the photo, Dhanush revealed that the film’s background score was completed by AR Rahman. He captioned, “Raayan background score is done. A storm is coming. An A R Rahman musical”.
The makers earlier unveiled the second single, ‘Water Packet’ from the film, which is a romantic song featuring Sundeep Kishan and Aparna Balamurali.
Earlier, ‘Raayan’ was slated to arrive in theaters on June 13, but recent reports suggest that its release will be delayed and is now expected to be pushed to July or August. However, the makers have not confirmed it yet.This action-packed thriller is backed by Kaalanithi Maaran under the banner of Sun Pictures. Apart from Dhanush as the main lead, the film also stars Sundeep Kishan, S.J. Suryah, Aparna Balamurali, Selva Raghavan, Prakash Raj, Dushara Vijayan, Varalaxmi Sarath Kumar, Saravanan, and others in pivotal roles.
