After completing RRR, NTR took his own time to finalize his next project. He locked director Koratala Siva after going through rigorous sittings and even suggested several changes to the initial script. Finally, after a lot of dilly-dallying, the film started rolling in 2023 Summer. Later, it was announced as a two-part film.
Since its start, Devara proceeded at a brisk pace and didn’t see any delay in the production. The makers seemed very determined to release the first part on April 5th, 2024 come what may. While everything appeared to be on track for a grand release, a shocking development made headlines recently.
As per the ongoing rumours, Devara might be pushed ahead to an indefinite date due to unforeseen circumstances. Speculations are rife that the delay in VFX is the main reason for this sudden change in the release plans. Also, there are unconfirmed news reports that the clash with assembly elections is a potential reason behind the postponement.
There are further rumours that there is still a considerable portion of shooting left and Saif Ali Khan’s injury might be another cause for the unexpected change. Anirudh Ravichander is also said to have not yet delivered the songs for the film so far which might be a reason for the delay.
