‘Devara’ posters fell short of high expectations ?

After the humongous success of RRR, NTR is coming up with another ambitious pan-India project that is titled Devara. Tollywood director Koratala Siva is calling the shots for this much-anticipated action saga that is set in the backdrop of faraway coastal lands. The intriguing set-up managed to trigger massive attention towards this project. Moreover, the presence of Said Ali Khan and Jahnvi Kapoor further heightened the hype on this film.

While all updates about this project managed to create a solid buzz, the first-look posters of the lead characters in the film didn’t generate the required excitement among moviegoers. Starting from NTR’s first look to the recently released Saif Ali Khan’s avatar as Bhaira, there is nothing so great or stunning to rave about those posters. NTR’s transformation as Devara appeared similar to that of his ‘Bheem’ avatar in RRR. There is no great difference in terms of his appearance and body language when compared to his role in RRR.

Even Saif Ali Khan’s look also didn’t pique much attention because he looked like a typical antagonist without much novelty. The poster designs also looked routine. A solo poster for Jahnvi Kapoor was unveiled a few months ago and she appeared in a regular look in the character.

It is undeniably true that all these posters fell short of the high expectations. Koratala Siva should make sure that the promotional content matches the hype that is surrounding the project. The film is slated for release in April 2024.
