The makers of NTR’s next pan-India film ‘Devara’, which was initially supposed to release on April 5th, officially locked October 10th as the new date. However, there is still a possibility for the film to get preponed to an earlier date.
This buzz is very much true as per close sources to the Koratala Siva directional. It is heard that they locked October 10th only as a backup plan to target the festival season as there are no other ideal seasons in the next six months.
As the entire shooting work of Devara will be wrapped by April end, the team is planning to complete the post-production activities by June so that they can get the film ready for August 15th release if at all Allu Arjun’s much anticipated ‘Pushpa 2’, which has already sealed the release date, is postponed due to delay in its filming.
As of now, Pushpa team is focused on meeting the deadlines as Allu Arjun is particular on not missing out the ideal date. However, postponement is not completely ruled out due to the scale of the project.
On the other side, Devara team will closely follow the progress of Pushpa 2. If there even a slightest hint from the team of Pushpa about the change in the release plans, NTR and his producers will quickly occupy the Independence Day slot, which is a better date compared to October 10th.
Not just Devara but many other films are also targeting the ‘Pushpa 2’ release date in anticipation of its postponement. However, Devara will have the edge over others as it is a pan-India film with relatively bigger hype.
