NTR’s much-hyped pan-India action spectacle Devara is one of the most anticipated films this year. The recently released glimpse with high-octane visuals has further augmented the buzz on the film.
This is the first time Koratala Siva is handling a larger-than-life story and there are massive expectations surrounding this big-budget entertainer which marks his second collaboration with NTR after Janatha Garage.
Siva usually dabbles with scripts reflecting contemporary social themes that throw light on burning social issues. His previous outings Srimanthudu, Janatha Garage, Acharya, Bharat Ane Nenu are indirectly connected to real-life incidents.
Reports now suggest that even the story of his next film Devara is also inspired by real happenings that transpired in the erstwhile Andhra Pradesh. The story is set against the backdrop of communal tensions that triggered a political storm in the united state in the 80s.
Devara revolves around coastal and forgotten lands where the rulers behave like ruthless goons against the oppressed communities and a saviour is born to instill fear in them with his bravery. This line is said to be inspired by the communal riots of a popular region in Andhra Pradesh.
We have to wait till April 5th to know if this rumour is true or not. Devara is releasing in two parts. It has Saif Ali Khan and Janhvi Kapoor in pivotal roles.
