Devara : A bigger challenge awaits Koratala Siva

Director Koratala Siva is under immense pressure after he bagged an embarrassing debacle with Megastar Chiranjeevi’s Acharya. He will need to bounce back strongly with his upcoming film Devara which has NTR in the lead role. The principal photography of Devara has been proceeding at full tilt since its start earlier this year.

It is a known fact that action episodes of Devara are being filmed on a big scale. Since the story is set in the backdrop of coastal lands, many episodes in the film will take place on the sea. The first look posters of NTR and Saif Ali Khan depicted the theme sea theme. Surprisingly, Koratala Siva has opted not to shoot these scenes in a realistic manner. Instead, he is filming all scenes using the customary green mat to enhance them during the VFX phase.

For big-budget films, VFX effects must be watertight and effective to impress moviegoers. Koratala Siva has no prior experience in handling CG and VFX activities. His films hardly needed their requirement so far.

The output of Devara relies heavily on visual effects. This is the first time a massive budget is being spent on visuals for a Koratala film. So, he will need to ensure that the CG and VFX effects are well executed to ensure that the visuals match the high expectations and seamlessly blend with his narration. The real challenge for Koratala starts after he wraps the shooting formalities and shifts his attention towards post-production activities.

Devara stars Jahnvi Kapoor as the female lead. It is slated for release on April 5th next year.
