New Delhi: On Saturday, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal accused the BJP of attempting to lure seven Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLAs in Delhi by offering Rs 25 crore to switch sides. According to Kejriwal, the BJP allegedly engaged in talks with AAP MLAs, threatening imminent arrest of the Delhi Chief Minister in a liquor policy case. The AAP claims to have recorded the BJP leader’s conversation.

In a detailed post, Kejriwal revealed, “Recently, they have contacted our seven MLAs in Delhi and said, ‘We will arrest Kejriwal after a few days. After that, we will break the MLAs. Talks have been held with 21 MLAs. Talking to others also. After that, we will topple the Aam Aadmi Party government in Delhi. You can also come. Will give Rs 25 crore and contest the elections on BJP ticket.'” While the BJP asserts they contacted 21 MLAs, Kejriwal stated that, according to their information, only 7 MLAs were contacted, and all of them declined the offer.

Kejriwal further accused the BJP of attempting to destabilize the AAP government in Delhi due to their inability to defeat AAP in elections. He argued that the arrest pretext in a fake liquor scam is a ploy to topple the government, emphasizing that despite numerous conspiracies, the AAP government has withstood challenges, receiving continuous support from the people of Delhi
