DBT Scheme Funds Released in AP

The Election Commission (EC) has given the green signal for the release of funds for DBT schemes. Yesterday (Wednesday) a day later, a sum of Rs. 1480 crore and Rs. 1,480 crore under Jagananna Vidya Deevena. Rs 502 crore has been released. The EC has issued instructions to Jawahar Reddy that money can be transferred to the accounts of the beneficiaries. In this context, funds have already been sanctioned to the beneficiaries of various schemes. The government is ready to release funds for the remaining schemes as well. Earlier, CEO Mukesh Kumar Meena had stopped the release of funds under DBT before the polling due to complaints from TDP.

In this context, the EC approved the release of funds after polling ended on May 13. Following this, chief secretary Jawahar Reddy on May 15, as per the ec’s instructions, had announced a sum of Rs 15,000 crore under Aasara and Jagananna Vidya Deevena. The government has deposited Rs 1982 crore in cash into the accounts of the beneficiaries. Funds will also be released to the beneficiaries of the remaining schemes through the DBT system within two to three days, the CS said. Students and women are expressing their anger over this.
