Natural star Nani’s upcoming film Dasara has been creating ripples ever since its launch because of the dark-themed posters and Nani’s rugged avatar. The first look teaser is out today evening and it is quite raw and intense. It has Nani with an unkempt exterior and rough mannerisms.
The one minute teaser of Dasara takes us into a brooding village called Veerlapalli which is beneath the coal fields. People in this village follow weird traditions, engage in street fights, play cricket and witness many politics. There seems to be a lot of drama in the village and Nani is likely to be a saviour of the oppressed with his devil-may-care attitude.
Though the teaser didn’t drop enough hints about the storyline, it clearly suggests that Dasara is going be a very intense drama with plenty of mass elements. The teaser only gives a glimpse of Nani’s role and some fleeting visuals of key scenes in the story. Unfortunately, there is no scene with Keerthi Suresh and Samutrakani in the teaser. But, Sai Kumar seems to have got a meaty role.
Debutant Srikanth Odhela manages to grab the attention with his terrific characterisation for Nani who seems to have delivered a powerful performance in a dark role. The backdrop of village and the drama surrounding it is intriguing and captures the attention of viewers. Santosh Narayan elevates the teaser with his throbbing background score and the stunning visuals capturing the dark settings will appeal well. Sudhakar Cherukuri is the producer.
Nani seems to be going against the grain for the first time in his career by playing an off-beat role. His wild and energetic performance will be the key factor for the film. Dasara is slated for release on March 30th.
