Nani eyes career best opening with Dasara

Natural star Nani’s upcoming film Dasara has been creating a lot of ripples in trade circles. One of the major reasons for such strong hype is the aggressive and well-crafted publicity campaign launched by the team. The dark-themed posters and intriguing teasers are adding to the buzz. Nani should be commended for dedicating a lot of time and energy to promoting the film at full vigor.

As far as the pre-bookings are concerned, the trend is quite promising in major territories. Overseas openings are expected to be very strong going by the early bookings. In the USA, Dasara is poised to emerge as the biggest opener in Nani’s career as the advance sales are quite stupendous. Trade experts are predicting that Dasara will effortlessly surpass the premiere gross of Nani’s career highest ‘MCA’ even before the start of premieres on the evening of 29th March. Dasara has a good chance to register more than $ 500K from premieres alone in the USA.

In Telugu States, the buzz is no different. The film is expected to embark on a sensational opening at the domestic box office. The Sri Rama Navami festival holiday followed by the long weekend is likely to ensure a solid first weekend for the film if it manages to garner positive word of mouth. Despite aggressive promotions all over the country, there is very little hype for Dasara in North India and outside the Telugu States. However, the makers are banking on public word of mouth for decent numbers after the film’s release.

Directed by debutant Srikanth Odhela, Dasara has Keerthi Suresh and Samutrakani in significant roles. Sri Lakshmi Venkateshwara Cinemas produced the film.
