Amaravati: Former minister Daggubati Venkateswara Rao shared insights on the current state of politics during a meeting with villagers in Karamchedu on Monday. Rao commented on the prevalent trend of verbal attacks in politics, asserting the importance of responding with counter-arguments. During the gathering, Daggubati Venkateswara Rao addressed concerns raised by villagers regarding the lack of road development in Karamchedu.
Reflecting on the 2019 elections, he remarked that winning would have restricted his movement on the current roads. Daggubati Venkateswara Rao expressed gratitude for his loss in the Parchur constituency, considering it a fortunate outcome. Recounting events post-defeat, Daggubati Venkateswara Rao revealed that Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy had approached him, offering an MLC position and a ministerial role for his son. However, Rao stated that they decided against joining the YSRCP, citing adherence to the rules laid down by Jagan.
