The first single ‘Head Up High’ from Naga Chaitanya’s upcoming cop drama ‘Custody’ was out on Monday evening and it eulogizes the pride of Police in society. The lyrics are invigorating and the rendition is throbbing.
‘Head up High’ is an anthem of Khaki that speaks highly about the respect earned by those who wear the uniform while rendering public service. The lyrics penned by Ramajogayya Sastry are uplifting and inspiring. Illayaraja and Yuvan Shankar Raja complement the lyrics with their sublime work. The thumping score elevates the lyrics and makes the song an instant chartbuster.
Yuvan has doubled up as a singer and he is ably supported by Arun and Asal Kolar. The trio provided impressive and intense vocals to create a strong impact on the lyrics and tunes. There is ample scope in the music for Chaitu to shake a leg and he seems to have given a lively and energetic performance as seen from the visuals. On the whole, the first single has everything to create solid buzz on the rest of the album and the film.
Custody stars Aravind Swamy and Kriti Shetty in crucial roles. Directed by Venkat Prabhu, the bilingual film is slated for release in Telugu and Tamil on May 12th.
