Varun Tej is teaming up with the critically acclaimed director Karuna Kumar of ‘Palada 1978’ fame. This master of portraying the stories of ‘Uttarandhra’ has cooked up another periodic drama for Varun Tej which was set in the post-independence era of India. According to the direction department, the story starts right during the Independence in 1947 and ends in the mid-1970s with a different ending giving the viewers a surreal experience. The movie will be rustic since it would have a rural backdrop in the premises of Visakhapatnam. The director has confirmed Meenakshi Chowdary of ‘HIT-2’ fame as the female lead opposite Varun Tej. Mohan Cherukuri and Dr. Vijayender Reddy are producing this movie on the ‘Vyra Entertainments’ banner and they will start this production the moment they wrap up their debut project of Natural Star Nani’s ‘Hi Nanna’.
As of now, Varun Tej is busy promoting his upcoming release ‘Gandivdhari Arjuna’, a slick action thriller directed by Praveen Sattaru.
