ETV Win, which has established itself with its blockbuster originals such as Air, has now diversified its content portfolio by adding to it the gripping suspense thriller Constable Kanakam. Starring Varsha Bollamma in the lead, the much-awaited series went on air on August 14 and has already made a clean sweep, captivating audiences with rave reviews across the board.
Prasanth Kumar Dimmala directs Constable Kanakam, which is an ETV Win Originals production by veteran producers Vemuri Hemanth Kumar and Kovelamudi Satya Saibaba. The show boasts of outstanding performances, with Megha Lekha, Rajeev Kanakala, and others giving mesmerizing performances as main characters. Srinivas Avasarala excels as the village president, essaying a unique, differently-abled role that wins hearts from the audience.
The story is set in a distant village located in the Srikakulam district, where a series of young females go missing under strange circumstances. A newly appointed Constable Kanakam sets out to find the truth, and thus a series of gripping and suspenseful episodes ensue. Director Prasanth Kumar Dimmala has woven a fascinating story with ease, with Varsha Bollamma’s performance as Constable Kanakam simply phenomenal. Meghaleka and Rajeev Kanakala’s performances are no less stunning, and the series’ visuals and cinematography are breathtaking. With spectacular inputs from DOP Sriram, a hauntingly atmospheric background score by Suresh Bobbili, and sharp editing by Madhav Gulla Palli, the technical department of the series is simply world-class.
