Hyderabad: D. Prabhakar Rao, Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of TSTRANSCO and TSGENCO not attended the Power Department review meeting chaired by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. During the meeting, the electricity officials ifnformed CM that the power utilities are grappling with a loss exceeding Rs. 85,000 crores.
Despite submitting his resignation on the day of election results, CM Revanth Reddy directed officials not to accept Prabhakar Rao’s resignation and insisted on his attendance at the review. This follows CM Reddy’s expressed concerns about the substantial Rs. 85,000 crore loss in the power department. However, Prabhakar Rao’s non-participation in today’s critical review has become a point of discussion, leaving many questioning the circumstances surrounding his absence.
