Hyderabad: This afternoon in Hyderabad, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy addressed the media regarding water projects. He highlighted that under YS Rajasekhar Reddy’s leadership, the flow of water through Potireddipadu had increased, with support from KCR and Harish Rao. Revanth Reddy also expressed concerns about AP CM JAGAN’s plan to divert water through the Rayalaseema lift irrigation scheme. H
e mentioned the issuance of a GO on May 5, 2020, for the project and criticized Jagan for attempting to lift not just water from Srisailam but also mud. According to Revanth Reddy, Jagan’s strategy aims to divert 8 TMC of water daily, with KCR allegedly permitting 8 TMC ft of water diversion to AP through the Rayalaseema lift irrigation project. Revanth Reddy raised suspicions of an agreement between Jagan and KCR at Pragathi Bhavan itself.
