Chief Minister Revanth Reddy Launches Old City Metro Rail Project

On Friday, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy inaugurated the commencement of construction for the old city metro rail line. The foundation stone, marking the beginning of this project, was laid at the Farrukhnagar bus depot. Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi graced the event with his presence. The metro, anticipated to cost approximately Rs 2,000 crore, will encompass five stations along a 5.5-kilometer route from MGBS to Falaknuma.

Upon its completion, commuters will have seamless connectivity from Secunderabad via JBS and MGBS to the old city. Addressing attendees at the metro rail line’s foundation stone laying ceremony, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy emphasized his government’s commitment to ongoing development initiatives, stating, “… We will prioritize development outside of electoral seasons. The provision of drinking water to Hyderabad was initiated during the Congress regime.”
