Nandamuri Balakrishna, MLA from Hindupuram constituency, expressed his gratitude to Chief Minister Revanth Reddy for his cooperation in expanding the services of Basavatarakam Indo-American Cancer Hospital. Balakrishna highlighted that Revanth Reddy immediately agreed to support the expansion upon his request, setting an example for others. The hospital’s 24th anniversary celebrations took place in Hyderabad on Saturday, attended by Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and Hospital Chairman Balakrishna.
During the event, Balakrishna remarked on the devastating impact of cancer, emphasizing his father NTR’s foresight in establishing the hospital. He noted that the hospital was built in a previously undeveloped, rocky area and now provides excellent services to patients. Balakrishna also acknowledged former Prime Minister Vajpayee, who sanctioned Rs 6 crore for the hospital’s development. “I am very happy to be the chairman of such a great hospital,” he concluded.
