Hyderabad: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy launched a Rs 1 crore accident insurance scheme for employees of the Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL). The initiative, aimed at providing financial security to SCCL workers, was formalized through an MoU exchange between SCCL officials and Union Bank of India representatives.
Revanth Reddy underscored the importance of SCCL employees in the Telangana agitation and criticized the neglect they faced under previous administrations. He accused the former government of colluding with the Centre to privatize mines and highlighted the significant increase in state debt over the past decade.
