Jana Sena leader Pawan Kalyan is entering the fray, prompting the ruling YSR Congress Party to zero in on Pithapuram. Having already confirmed MP Vanga Geetha as their candidate, the YSRCP has initiated campaign efforts in Pithapuram, focusing primarily on garnering support from BC and SC voters. The constituency boasts approximately 85,000 BC votes, comprising 30,000 fishermen, 30,000 Shettybalija, and 20,000 Padmashali. Overall, there are 230,000 eligible voters, with Kapu votes totaling around 95,000 and SC votes amounting to 30,000. With this data in mind, the ruling party aims to secure the backing of BC and SC electorates, employing this strategy to counter Pawan Kalyan’s influence effectively.
