Kuppam: Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s inauguration of the Kuppam branch canal marked a pivotal moment for over 4 lakh residents in Kuppam and Palamaneru constituencies, providing access to Krishna water. This feat, achieved through the completion of the canal project at a cost of Rs 560.29 crore, ensures irrigation for 6,300 acres of land across the region. In his address at Gundisettipalle, YS Jagan highlighted the historical significance of Krishna water’s journey of 672 kilometers from Srisailam to Kuppam constituency, emphasizing the transformative impact on the area’s prosperity.
He criticized the previous administration for its failure to finish the canal during their tenure, accusing them of exploiting the project for personal gain. The inauguration represents a significant step towards fulfilling the long-standing need for reliable drinking and irrigation water access, promising a new era of growth and development for the region under the YSRCP Government.
